The requirements for our Pet au Pairs include:

Reliability, patience, courtesy, superior attitude, attentiveness, professional demeanor, keenly aware of surroundings, and (most importantly) passionate & respectful of animals and nature
Pet First Aid certification through American Red Cross (can be completed after hire)
Be able to pass criminal background check and drug test
Reliable vehicle, solid driving record (bike owners will be considered)
Knowledge of DC area and District neighborhoods
Physically fit and able to work in all weather (rain, snow, heat, etc.)
Must have cell phone with text messaging and internet capability
Legally allowed to work in the United States; valid drivers license
Good time management skills
Able to make a 6-month commitment (exceptions are specifically summer hires)

Work part time, full time or on call:

Full time would be considered as 5-7 days per week, 4 hours per day minimum
Students - Work around your class hours; mornings, or afternoons, weekends. Earn extra money while getting great exercise!
Homemakers - Take a break from your routine, get some fresh air and make some special pets very happy!
Active Seniors - Too much time on your hands? This may be a perfect fit for you! Earn extra income while spending time with our very appreciative companions.
