MetroPetDC's Rules and Regs
SAFETY NOTES
During our sessions, we watch your pet carefully for any signs of discomfort including dehydration, overheating and fatigue. If we see any signs of struggling, tiring, limping or erratic behavior, we will end the service immediately and leave an appropriate entry in your pet's progress report and email it to you. INCLEMENT WEATHER We all know that dogs have evolved into domestic "divas" and no longer like to be outside in the rain, heavy rainfall or icy weather conditions. That being said, as dog walkers we are dragged back indoors as soon as the dog goes to the bathroom; therefore walks may be shorter in inclement weather conditions. LIABILITY MetroPetDC is highly trained and intuitive, and goes above and beyond to ensure that all safety precautions are in place to keep your pet safe and happy. MetroPetDC is not responsible for any dog attacks provoked or received, property damage/bathroom accidents incurred by the pet before or after walks, items other than food brought in for cage free boarding, bathing of the dog returning from walks or cage free boarding. INITIAL CONSULTATION FEE: We do not charge a fee for our initial meeting, however there will be a fee if another trip is necessary to pick up a key or access implement. During the meeting we will discuss and review your pet's needs and also take your dog(s) for a brief walk to assess any special handling requirements. LAST MINUTE REQUESTS It's always best to plan ahead! However, we will always do the best we can to accommodate our MetroPetDC client's special needs. Due to scheduling concerns, if you are not already a client and need services within 48 hours, we may not be able to handle your request. Please email us for availability. CANCELLATION POLICY No penalty for canceling of a daily walking service if we are able to reach your walker before they get to your home, otherwise the service will be charged at standard prices. (Prepaid clients will receive a credit to be used the following month.) EXCEPTION: There is a $25 fee charged for cancellation of "weekend, holiday, or vacation boarding/sitting" services with less than 48 hours notice. WALKING PACKAGES Package rates do not include "holiday or weekend" service dates. |
